Back from Vietnam

Hi guys, I'm back from my trip to Vietnam. This is the lousiest trip I've ever went. The schedule sucks, the places we went were not the famous tourism point..
The only thing that made all of us happy is the beer and liquor.. haha... We drink a lot, and we laugh a lot when the tour guide teach us Vietnam language...

There are some words that I still remember:
1. Pee >>> Lei Tiu
2. 1,2,3 >>> Mo Hai Paa
3. Yam Seng >>> Yoh
4. Poo >>> Lei Kao

Those words are funny when you convert the pronunciations into cantonese.. hahaha..

My New Shoe

This is my first Crocs. This model is Crocs Off Road. A little bit different from the normal Crocs..
I like it very much because I can wear this during rainy day. My current hush puppies is made by leather. So it will be wet and I feel irritated walking with a wet slipper.

Char Siew Fan

This is the best Char Siew I've ever taste in my pass 27 years... Where is it?? MELAKA!!
No one ever tell me that Melaka is famous for their Char Siew, until I met Sheon. Once again, thanks to Sheon who has brought me to all those delicious food... :)
They have some other dishes other than char siew

There is nothing I can say about this Char Siew Fan.... Simply the best !!

We bought this Char Siew for our friend, YC. It's all fat pork. Great taste.... awesome!!

Mille Crepe @ Melaka

This is the first time I took this kind of cake. Like it so much!!
Approximately 18 layer of hand-made crepes layered with smooth cream. The cake was so fresh and soft that the fork cut through just like that... without any resistance.. The cream is just nice.. Not too sweet, with a little bit of coffee taste... hmmmmphhhh... YUMMY~~
THIS CAKE IS A MUST TRY!!

This cake touches the G-Spot of my tongue... omg...!!

I'm wondering why there are so many great food in Melaka.. I love Melaka..!!

Pineapple Sauce with Peanut Gravy Satay @ Melaka

This is the picture taken by Sheon. His camera made me embarrass man.. I took with my N73 and guess what?? See below...

Look at the picture... They are so... not attractive... The color is either not rich enough, or too rich..
I think I need to take a long time to learn how to take a nice photo with this phone..
The sauce is actually made by pineapple with the peanut gravy. The sauce taste a bit sweetie, the peanut crunch combination make it better.
Look carefully at the picture. The satay is string together with pork, or pork inner organs.. Some said they are insane to create such satay... But it tastes great!!
No joke man.. The intestines are not powdery but fresh and elastic.. slurp... yummy~

Wall Painting

I saw this at Melaka. What street is it? I don't know.. It's somewhere near to Jonker Street..
I'm wondering why I cannot see such nice paintings in Penang or in Kedah.. Most of the people here who do wall painting will do it in black color. And the drawing sucks..!!
This is better with variable colors and objects...

Claypot Chicken @ Bercham, Ipoh

Most of the photos start from now on are taken using N73.. hehe..
I went there 2 times in a week... Imagine how nice is it... hehe.... Ipoh you know, it's approximately 150km from my hometown... First of all, this is how the shop looks like..

The first time I went there, I went with an Ipoh friend, Dennis. He is a very nice guy which we know each other since we are in college. The second time was with my KL friend, Sheon and my gf...

Let me intro those not so special dish first. We ordered oyster sauce vege and bean sprout. Both are consider so so only. Nothing special for the oyster sauce vege. As for bean sprout, Ipoh is famous for their bean sprout. Big and fat, crunchy and freshy... hahahha... But the bean sprout is not as tasty as the one at Onn Kei Bean Sprout Chicken..
This is home-made meatball.. The size is around 1.75". Tell you what... Sheon and I ate 20 pcs of this meatballs. I don't know how to describe the taste. It yummy, spongy and juicy.

What is this?? Chicken feet!! hahhaa... My favourite, only if it's nice to eat. This chicken feet is soft enough. The sauce sips into the feet and the only word i can say is, "FU-YOH!!"

The last thing is the main course... Look at the picture. It seems to be so normal. We can see a lot of white rice in the picture. The sauce is not even sip into the rice. But after we stir the rice, the smell that drift into my nose.... Make my saliva dripping from my mouth... omg... slurp... I'm hungry man....
The rice is great especially when you bite on the dried salted fish... hnnph... YUMYY~~

New Phone

I don't have any digital camera before. All of the photos in my blog is taken by my Sony Ericsson W800i. I love this phone a lot. Very user friendly and it has 2.0 mega pixel camera. The one I dislike about this phone is, the photo will be blur if I take in a dark environment... A lot of noise on the photo..
So I decided to get a phone with a better resolution.. I firstly thought of The K800i but I would like to try out some other brands. Instead of making a huge hole in my wallet to get the newly launched Nokia N95, I opted for the brother, N73, which has 3.2mp rather than 5mp.
I don't like the camera of N73 although the photo taken is better than W800i because I need to do a lot of setting in order to get the photo effect I like.. That takes a lot of time...
Anyhow, I hope I can get use to it and enjoy the phone in the near future..

Supreme Curry Beef Rice @ Kim Gary

I went to Kim Gary, Gurney Plaza for this dish which is introduced by Mrs Sim.
You can check the link here: Supreme Curry Beef with Rice

The rice is dry, the potato is hard, the curry is not bad... Or I should say, nothing special for the curry..
The beef is good... They slice the beef and mix it with a type of flour, to make it soft want smooth..
Overall mark for the Supreme Curry Beef with Rice is 5/10

Fried Chicken Shop near Tai Shu Kiok @ Ipoh

Look at the big boss standing beside the fan. He is the boss of the fried chicken and also the thong sui. The friend chicken is awesome. The outer part of the chicken, which is the skin, is crunchy yet, fresh. The inner part, the meat, is totally fresh. The chicken is well cooked. The fire is controlled perfectly, the oil temperature is manage in a good way to maintain in a specific heat in order to fry the chicken into the perfectly cooked chicken.

The picture is not nice. The chicken is half eaten. But still, everytime I look at this picture, my saliva can't stop dripping.. KFC cannot even compete with this homemade fried chicken. If this chicken has 10 marks, KFC has only 3. Close your eyes and imagine how tasty is the chicken.. Hmmmpphhhhh..... YUMMY!!

Ice-cream Supper @ Ipoh

I don't know how to go, and I don't know where is it located. My friend brought me there by using short cuts. Dodging the jam by going through the biggest malay kampung and drift back to the town area like a fish...
And guess what?? I didn't took any picture of the ice-cream, but the side dishes that my friend, Andrew bought behind the ice-cream shop lot.
It is out of my imagination that we can actually take ice-cream at 11.30pm. Yes!! It's midnight and the main course of the shop is ICE-CREAM!! Of course, they have side dishes like, small little cute sandwich, snacks and drinks....

Outside food is allowed. So, my friend bought the fried prawn mantis and fried squid. The taste is good, but it's too stiff..
The ice-cream is nice too. Not extremely good, but special in terms of, the time and the environment.

The shop is suppose to close at 12am. We did not realise and continue chatting until 1am.
The owner does not urge us, they just clean and tidy up the other tables quietly without disturbing us. What a nice person.... That made me have a better impression on this shop.
This shop is highly recommended if you want to chat with friends in a cosy place that has aircond with comfortable temperature.

I will try to find out the name of the place and the name of the shop... :)

Long Rest for the Blog

I'm sorry for not updating the blog for more than 2 months. I was busy with my work and life for the pass 2 months. I went to Ipoh and Melacca for the long vacation last week. I will try to post up updates for the wonderful and exhausted trip asap.

Siew Bak Moi

Me and mama were tired after a whole day of work. We decided to cook a pot of plain porridge to eat with the roasted pork we bought this morning. This meal reminds me the way we took our meal 20 years back. It's simple, just eat the porridge with the roasted pork, no other dish. Just pork and porridge...

Look at the pork, it's pink at the bottom. The pink part is salty, very nice to eat with porridge. The meat is just nice, not too oily, not too salty too... mmmhhhmmm.... Excellent!!

It's not only delicious, it's also a taste of memories...

Me and my mum finish the whole pot of porridge!! It's the pot for 4 pax!!

8th Of CNY

We usually pray Ti Kong(The God of Sky) on the 8th of Chinese New Year. As usual, we saw a lot of fireworks on 12am. Very nice indeed. Papa does not allow us to play because it's illegal. Kinda miss the time when we are kids, playing around with firecrackers with family and friends..

Look at Amber, She is praying, with the assist of her grandma...

All the pictures below are taken by Amber. Nice isn't it?? ^.^

Opps!! Papa is not ready for the photo taking yet... :P
My brother bought a roasted pig for supper..
Yummy~~

Yau Char Kuai @ Bakar Arang

This is the most famous Yau Char Kuai in SP. The customers never stops until they are finish. Why it is so famous? Because the yau char kuai is not soft and not too crunchy. The outside of the YCK is crunchy while you can get soft, water-absorbent inner part. This type of YCK is best to eat with kopi-oh.... omg.... saliva dripping..... slurp~~

The stall is partner up by a pair of couple. Very friendly couple with very good temper. They never stop their job. Husband is frying while the wife is busy cutting and shaping the kueh so that the shape will be good after fry.
Look at the container, it's always empty because most customer will buy at least 5 pieces. I bought 14 the other day. hehe... :P
