Ipoh Trip

I went to Ipoh yesterday with my gf's friends for our 1-day makan trip..

The itinerary is as below:
1. Egg Tart
2. Dim Sum
3. Soya Bean
4. Ipoh Old Town Hawker Food
5. Ipoh Coffee
6. Salted Chicken
7. Roasted Pork with Char Siew
8. Wantan Mee, Ngau Lam Hor Fun @ Thong Shui Kai
9. Ikan Bakar, Grilled Lamb

We depart on 730am, arrived at 930am and looking around for the famous egg tart. After we bought the tarts, we straightaway heading to dim sum. Got a summon there because i parked at taxi parking lot. Maybe it was because of the girls that controlling their diet, i felt that the dim sum is not nice enough. Everyone eat so less...
We walk to soya bean stall and have "pak pak". Pak-pak as in "White-White" in Cantonese. That means white soya bean + White soya bean curd. This is super nice. We will go there everytime we visit Ipoh, no matter it's a business trip or makan trip. The soya bean is cold while the curd is hot. The curd is so smooth and soft.... so fragile until it will melt once u put into your mouth...
After the soya bean session, we loiter at Ipoh Parade to kill the time and to digest the food we took in the morning. Then my friend Andrew called me to arrange the itenarary for lunch onwards. We went to Ipoh Old-Town aka Gao Kai Cheong to have the typical Ipoh hawker food. We had satay with pork intestines, Ipoh style chee cheong fun, Ipoh hor fun, poh piah, loh bak and custard. Custard is egg pudding with brown sugar sauce.. The custard is served with a cup of ice water. It is very sweet with very heavy egg taste...
We tapao Ipoh Coffee after that. Many people will misunderstand that Ipoh coffee is all OldTown Coffee. IT IS NOT RIGHT!! They have other brands other than OldTown ok????
We head to Siew Yuk(Roasted pork) at northern Ipoh, the only food that i took pictures... Check it out.. The roasted pork is located in a coffee shop. It's very famous and normally will sold out within 2 hours plus. Let's have another clearer look at the stall.
Check out the char siew.. hehe... my favourite... Both siew yuk and char siew are my favourite!!

The siew yuk and char siew~~ ^_^

Saw these?? The roasted pork is awesome, while the char siew is special... The gravy is actually honey. And i don't know how they did it... Most honey roasted char siew is dark in color but this one is red. The char siew is soft and nice... Yummy~

Remember to click on the photos to see how attractive is the char siew.. :)

Ok no more picture from here onwards. We went to Andrew's house to rest. I went there for little chat with Andrew and swimming. It had been a very long time we never chat and it had been very long that i'm so relaxing.. The girls talk non-stop from Penang until now, my ears can rest now.... hehe.. :P
One more thing i wanted to tell.... William is so so so so so soooo cute and handsome... Like father and mother... very yeng zai!!! He is sick when we're there, but still, very cute and handsome.. So smart to say hi and i like him so much because he is so manja when he talks... omg... how i wish i have a kid like that...!!!

We then heading to town for our dinner. Wantan Mee, Ngau Lam Hor Fun at Thong Shui Kai. The Wantan Mee and Ngau Lam is so good. I've never taste such ngau lam soup in northern region. Very nice to eat. And the wantan mee tastes good too. The ordinary wantan and fried wantan is super good, but i prefer ordinary one... very tasty man!!

We then heading to Ikan Bakar and Grilled Lamb behind Jusco with Andrew and ah sou... Imagine how delicious is the ikan bakar.. We ordered 1.5 of the whole stingray, 2 big plates of vege with ikan bakar sauce and 1 plate of octupus with vege. Super nice...
As for the grill lamb, it's the compulsary supper for all of us... hehe....
Our makan trip ends on 12.30am and everyone sleep soundly in the car except me... :P

No picture taken. Only took some picture while we are having Roasted Pork with Char Siew.
We were all bloated. And we all would like to thank Andrew and his wifey for the guide..
Millions Thanks to Andrew and his Wife.. :)
